1. General refund rule
Refunds are limited because Lumia AI is a digital service with immediate access.
Except where required by consumer law or expressly stated in an offer, fees paid for Lumia AI are generally non-refundable once premium access or digital benefits have started. Partial refunds are usually not available for unused time, downgrades, or failure to use the Service.
2. Cancellation is not the same as a refund
Stopping future renewals does not automatically reverse past charges.
If you cancel a recurring subscription, that usually stops future renewals only. It does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless required by law or approved under the billing provider’s rules.
3. Billing channel rules
The correct refund path depends on where you subscribed.
- Web purchases: where Paddle is the merchant of record, refund and cancellation handling may be subject to Paddle consumer terms in addition to this Policy.
- If mandatory consumer law grants a cooling-off or cancellation right for the initial subscription, that right may be limited once digital services have begun or benefits have been consumed.
- Apple App Store and Google Play purchases are typically refunded or canceled through the relevant store under its own rules.
4. Billing errors, duplicate charges, and disputes
Potential billing mistakes should be reported quickly.
- If you believe you were charged in error, charged twice, or granted incorrect access, contact support promptly with the transaction identifier, purchase email, date, and a short explanation.
- Approved refunds, when available, are issued through the original payment channel and may take additional time to appear.
- If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend premium access while the matter is investigated.
5. Requests that are usually not eligible
Some cases are outside refund eligibility unless law requires otherwise.
- Failure to cancel before the next renewal date.
- Unused subscription time or changed personal circumstances.
- Dissatisfaction based only on learning outcomes or exam performance.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for fraud, abuse, or Terms violations.
