Lumia AI helps you create and study flashcards: cards with a question and an answer. You can start with your own notes and use artificial intelligence to prepare a draft for review. The important work remains yours: checking the questions, attempting an answer and identifying what you need to study again.

Start with a section you can verify rather than every document for a subject. Decide what you should be able to explain afterwards: a definition, a distinction between concepts or the steps of a procedure. A short, readable source makes errors easier to spot.

For example, in biology your goal might be to distinguish mitosis from meiosis. Keep your class material available to check every answer. If a PDF contains scans or unclear text, first check that its content is readable.

A useful card asks one thing. “Explain everything about cell division” is difficult to assess. “Which process produces haploid cells: mitosis or meiosis?” has a specific answer. You can then add a separate card about the number of divisions or the purpose of each process.

AI can omit context or produce an incorrect answer. Compare the draft with your notes before memorizing it. If the source and the card disagree, correct the card rather than assuming that generated text must be right.

Read the question, attempt an answer and only then check it. Assess whether you recalled the whole idea or merely recognized the answer when you saw it. That difference helps you decide what needs more practice. Do not mark a card as mastered just to finish sooner.

Review the questions you missed. Memory is not always the problem: a question may be ambiguous, an answer too long or an explanation missing. Editing those cards can be more useful than repeating them unchanged.

Return to the material in later sessions and use the spaced review available in Lumia AI to support a routine. There is no universal number of minutes or cards that guarantees a grade: topic difficulty, prior knowledge and your exam change what you need.

Check progress outside the cards too: explain the topic in your own words or solve a new problem. If you recognize answers but cannot apply a concept, combine review with exercises from your course.
